Dr. Janis Teruggi Page

Dr. Janis Teruggi Page is a facilitator. She earned her Ph.D. in Journalism from the University of Missouri in 2005, her M.A. in Education from National-Louis University in 2000, and her B.A. in English from the University of California-Berkeley in 1977. A native of Chicago, Janis worked professionally for 18 years in magazine management—for Cahners Publishing Company, Sunset magazine, Chicago magazine, and The Sampler Group—directing marketing and strategic communication. In 1997, she co-founded a Chicago-area public relations consultancy. She has taught as an adjunct instructor at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Missouri School of Journalism, DePaul University and Aurora University in the areas of magazine management and marketing, strategic campaigns, public speaking and multicultural communication. She joined the public relations faculty of the University of Florida in 2005 where she teaches writing, campaigns, management, visual communication, and crisis communication. Janis has taught public relations internationally in Greece, Spain, and France. Her published research focuses on the strategies of visual communication and public relations ethics.
