Capture public attention, shape key public policy debates, and earn the public trust as a successful strategic public relations professional. The public relations field is changing and you need to employ more than traditional methods in the new-media world. Online communication, viral marketing, and wireless technology have forever changed how we share information. Currently, the public relations profession finds itself converging with practices that used to be separate—public relations practitioners must often fulfill public affairs and marketing roles in addition to traditional communications functions.

The online Master of Professional Studies in Strategic Public Relations program follows an innovative approach to building professional credentials that will position you to excel in this challenging profession. You'll employ core public relations skills and the practical application of strategic thinking. This program will have particular relevance to public relations professionals who work in the public policy arena, the political arena, PR firms, and corporate and not-for-profit PR departments.

This program focuses on the public policy system and the advocacy role played by public relations firms and operations in corporations and associations. The Graduate School of Political Management taps into experts in both the public relations and political arenas, with classes taught by practitioners who are experts in their field.
